One of the best ways to enjoy the winter season in the Smokies is with a snow tubing adventure! This fun-filled activity is perfect for the entire family as there is no skill involved, so bring the whole gang out for hours of snow-filled entertainment! You’ll find several awesome snow tubing destinations in the area, including a unique indoor facility that is open all year long! The best part is that these attractions are just minutes away from our condos and villas in Sevierville TN! Here are 3 fun places to go snow tubing in the Smoky Mountains:

1. Rowdy Bear’s Smoky Mountain Snowpark

Rowdy Bear’s Smoky Mountain Snowpark features the largest outdoor snow tubing hill in Tennessee with tubing lanes that are 500 feet in length with a 70-foot drop! The tubing sessions are 90 minutes long, so you can slide down the mountain as many times as you want during that time! You don’t even have to worry about climbing back uphill after each run because there are two Magic Carpet Conveyors that will transport you right back to the top. While waiting for your turn, enjoy the amazing views of the Smokies from the hilltop! Rowdy Bear’s Smoky Mountain Snowpark is conveniently located right along the Parkway in Pigeon Forge.

2. Pigeon Forge Snow

Pigeon Forge Snow is an indoor snow tubing facility that offers all the same thrills as outdoor snow tubing but in a comfortable temperature-controlled environment! It is always between 60 and 70 degrees inside the building, so you don’t even need to bring your parka! Pigeon Forge Snow is America’s first indoor snowpark and the facility uses a unique patented process to create real snow just as nature makes it! There are multiple snow tubing lanes for a variety of experiences and just like the outdoor snow tubing hills, a magic conveyor belt provides easy access back to the top of the slopes. Pigeon Forge Snow is located on Teaster Lane and is open all year long for your enjoyment!

3. Ober Mountain

Another one of the fun places to go snow tubing in the Smoky Mountains is at Ober Mountain in Gatlinburg! As the original snow tubing destination in the Smokies, Ober Mountain offers a thrilling tubing hill that is 350 feet long with a 50-foot total drop! There is no climbing involved as the Magic Carpet takes you back to the top of the hill after each run. You can choose between reserved timed session tickets that are 90 minutes long or unlimited all-day tubing tickets, but note that the reserved timed session tickets are the only tickets available on most weekends and all holiday periods. To access Ober Mountain, simply drive up Ski Mountain Road or take the scenic aerial tramway from downtown Gatlinburg!
