Are you ready to celebrate the wonders of fall in the Smoky Mountains? Throughout the Smokies, you will find all sorts of wonderful autumn events, including some spectacular ways to soak up the fall foliage. Many of the theme parks are joining in on the fun as well with special events to help you celebrate one of the best times in the Smokies! Here is the ultimate guide to this year’s Harvest Festival at Dollywood:
Music Shows and Autumn Tunes
If you love live music, you don’t want to miss a trip to the Harvest Festival at Dollywood this fall. Throughout the event, the theme park will host dozens of musical guests that will fill your heart and soul with the fall Smoky Mountain spirit. There is sure to be some type of music for everyone, as the shows contain everything from Southern gospel to bluegrass and country tunes that are sure to have you dancing along. Some of the artists you can look forward to seeing include Addie Levy and Friends, The Inspirations, The Young Fables, and many more!
Great Pumpkin LumiNights
One of the many highlights of the Harvest Festival is the return of the Great Pumpkin LumiNights. After dark, you can experience thousands of creatively carved pumpkins and autumn displays light up the night sky. New in 2022, Dollywood is also debuting the latest addition to the event, Hoot Owl Hollow. Be sure to travel through the theme park to find the gigantic glowing owl made of pumpkins and keep your eyes peeled for dozens of other hooting friends hiding in the trees, on rooftops, and across the hillside. Some of the other light displays include a towering pumpkin tree, a family of glowing frogs, and even a replica of Dolly’s guitar that plays her hit song “Tennessee Mountain Home.”
Delicious Fall Meals and Sweet Treats
If there is one thing that Dollywood is known for other than the amazing thrill rides, it might just be the food. Unlike other theme parks across the country, Dollywood serves full meals that are sure to leave your belly full and your taste buds tingling. During the Harvest Festival, you can chow down on some special autumn delights, such as a pulled pork sandwich with pumpkin spice BBQ sauce, smoked sausage macaroni and cheese, and a maple bacon funnel cake for dessert!
Plenty of Thrill Rides
As you make your way through the park taking in the sights and sounds of fall, be sure to jump in line to experience some of the most exciting amusement park rides in the country! If you are a roller coaster enthusiast, you will not want to miss the chance to fly through the skies on the Wild Eagle or take on the twists and turns of the Tennessee Tornado. For those guests with children, there are an array of rides for the young ones as well, most of which are located in the Country Fair section of the park.
